With more than 47 years of medical experience in gerontology, hospice care, and thanatology, Dr. Jose J. Valencia is dedicated to a compassionate approach to regenerative medicine focused on improving quality of life and reducing suffering. His philosophy centers on truly understanding each patient as an individual. He listens carefully and without interruption, believing that meaningful healing begins with compassion, experience, and thoughtful clinical judgment.
Dr. Valencia specializes in regenerative therapies including stem cell therapy, exosome therapy, and placental-derived treatments, supporting patients with neurodegenerative conditions, autoimmune disorders, chronic illnesses, and chronic pain. His approach emphasizes personalized treatment plans, recognizing that every patient’s medical history, lifestyle, and long-term health journey are unique.

Dr. Valencia is a pioneer in the concept of Gerontoprofilaxis, a philosophy that encourages individuals to take an active role in maintaining health and vitality as they age. He has authored 13 books on aging with dignity and improving quality of life, sharing decades of experience in caring for aging populations.
Throughout his career, Dr. Valencia observed that many patients struggling with chronic conditions were often treated primarily with increasing medications. This experience led him to explore regenerative and integrative approaches that focus on supporting the body’s natural repair processes, including stem cell–based therapies.

Dr. Valencia’s interest in regenerative medicine is also deeply personal. After experiencing significant side effects from medications that affected his vision and heart health, he explored regenerative treatments himself. His personal experience strengthened his belief in the potential of regenerative medicine as a complementary approach to support healing and recovery.

Danyel Roman Kriehl
Founder & CEO
Born in Berlin, Germany, Danyel Kriehl brings a diverse background to his role as Founder and CEO of Stems for Life. His experience spans economics, healthcare consulting, holistic health coaching, and the arts, giving him a unique perspective on patient care and wellness.
Before founding Stems for Life, Danyel worked in the medical tourism industry in Germany, where he helped connect international patients with leading healthcare providers abroad. His work focused on facilitating advanced laser eye treatments in Turkey, providing him with valuable insight into international patient care, treatment coordination, and access to advanced medical technologies.
Danyel’s commitment to regenerative medicine is also deeply personal. After more than ten years of competitive soccer and two serious motorcycle accidents, he was left with chronic knee pain and damage to his sciatic nerve. The persistent discomfort significantly impacted his mobility and quality of life.
Seeking solutions beyond conventional treatments, Danyel underwent stem cell and exosome therapy with Dr. Jose “Pepe” Valencia. The treatment helped reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and restore strength—allowing him to move with far greater comfort again.
This life-changing experience ultimately inspired him to establish Stems for Life in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. His mission is to help others access innovative regenerative therapies that may support healing, improve quality of life, and offer new possibilities for patients facing chronic conditions.
